I’ve got another Skypecast this week for a ZimmCast. I was chatting with Kelcy Schroder about our joint, Monsanto-sponsored, blog coverage of the Farm Progress Show this week and recorded some Q&A with her. I thought it might be a good way for you to get to know her before you see her posts beginning tomorrow afternoon.
Student Blogger Kelcy Schroder
Let me introduce you to Kelcy Schroder, Iowa State University Student. Kelcy will be the next guest student blogger for AgWired at next week’s Farm Progress Show in Amana Colonies, IA. I am excited and happy to be working with her and hope you’ll welcome her to AgWired. She’ll start posting stories next week after we get together on Monday afternoon on site.
Final Thoughts!
Now, as I’m all recuperated from the Farm Progress Show, I’m back writing again. I was going to write my final thoughts after the show but after my drive back to Ames, I fell asleep and didn’t wake up until this morning for class!
Your AgWired Show Team
It’s nice to be home and have the dust showered off. Before leaving the Farm Progress Show today I remembered to have a picture taken of Kelcy and me.
Agriblogging Expert
One of the only reporters left working in the media tent this morning was our very own Kelcy Schroder. I think she’s doing a great job helping me cover the show here and I hope you do too.
If you like her work please use the comment feature on her posts to let her know.
Horse Whisperer
For the most part, I’m pretty familiar with cattle but horses I don’t know so much about. I have had a few in my life time, broke my arm on one, so I’ve never had great experiences with them.
Cattle Handling
For growing up on a farm and showing cattle since I could ever remember, I thought going to the cattle handling demonstration would be something of interest.
Combine Demonstration
With all the new technologies out, many of the people who come to the Farm Progress Show come to see the field demonstrations.
Ag in America Tour
The next generation is going to be our future farmers. It is important to educate the next generation and show them the importance of agriculture. Ag in America Tour is doing just that!
ADM’s Future
ADM is a large provider for farm commodities. They have a nice tent set up with a lot of employee around to talk to.
